Thai SDG Micro-Primer - My learning journey contributing to Thailand's sustainable future
The UN in Thailand, in partnership with the UN System Staff College (UNSSC) and UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s Regional Office (UNESCO Bangkok), is broadening its public outreach on sustainable development via this 'Thai SDG Micro-Primer' e-learning platform.

About the initiative
The year 2023 marks the halfway point in the implementation of the 17 SDGs. Thailand has made what has been described as “robust progress” towards meeting the targets of the 17 SDGs, but a “whole of society approach” is needed to accelerate momentum. Achieving the 17 SDGs will require government, businesses, banks, communities, and civil society, to come together more cohesively, especially young people who are custodians of the country and play a dominant role in its green transformation, protecting the environment, and boosting social and economic inclusion to leave no one behind.
In a global first, this localised SDG Primer has been developed for Thailand and is now available in both English and Thai, contextualised to the Thai context in an easy-to-learn, digestible online format. This platform presents a web-based SDGs learning journey to inspire and reach learners in higher education and university-level (and above) students, providing them with a useful lens through which they can understand the most pressing global issues and find solutions in a holistic, integrated, inter-related, and interdependent manner.
