HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST
Young people from 16 to 25 years of age are invited to compete for a chance to “shadow” women ambassadors and leaders of the UN in their organizations and attend the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) International Women’s Day commemoration (IWD 2024) on 8 March 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. The competition is open to young people residing in Thailand, regardless of their gender, gender identity, sexuality, nationality or disability.

JUDGING PROCESS
In order to facilitate a fair entry and judging process, it is important that every entrant reads these entry rules and agrees to them when submitting their qualifying entry.
The judging process of the 2024 Ambassador for a Day Contest takes place over several weeks in January and February 2024. It involves juries from participating host entities, and takes place both online and offline. Their names and entities will remain anonymous.
Without restricting the jury in their deliberations, we ask the jury to consider the following criteria during judging, informed by their political, economic, social and cultural understanding of the theme of the 2024 Contest:
• Eligibility of entrant
• Visual quality: this includes creativity, presentation, technical skill and visual style, and the edit of the story (where relevant)
• Originality: this refers to the entrant's response and/or issues covered in the video, its relevance or significance, and the way in which the entrant has chosen to approach the submission
• Remarkable video factor (do juries want to watch the entry again)
• Fluency of chosen video language in submission
Recognising that the jury comprises a diverse group of representatives who each bring relevant knowledge of their regions and insight into different aspects of the Contest, we are providing the above criteria, and also giving the jury the freedom to determine and define what makes an entry worthy of an award.
CONSENT, COPYRIGHT, AND USE OF SUBMISSIONS POST-CONTEST
Hosting entities may undertake publicity activities post-contest referencing the winners, including their submissions and disclosure of names, photographs, and contact information. By entering the Contest, every entrant and entrant's parents or legal guardian (if entrant is under 18) agree to release and hold harmless the host entities from all losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses.
Every entrant and entrant's parents or legal guardian (if entrant is under 18) also agree that host entities may record, edit, use, reproduce, publish and distribute by way of any and all media and transmission, the visual and/or audio likeness of every entrant and other commentaries, information, and materials the entrant may provide in connection with the Contest, which includes, without limitation, entrant's name, biographical information, recorded voice, likeness, commentaries, presentation materials, and/or participation in the Contest. All host entities are further granted permission to use such materials for educational, promotional or other purposes worldwide and in perpetuity, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
