About the event
Coordinated responses to violence against women have been recognized internationally as essential to the development of laws, policies, procedures and services that support survivorsβ safety and autonomy while holding offenders accountable for violence. One common outcome of a coordinated response is the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on knowledge gained from multiple different methods of inquiry.
The ILO-UN Women programme βSafe and Fair: Realizing women migrant workersβ rights and opportunities in the ASEAN regionβ, part of the global EU-UN Spotlight Initiative to end violence against women (VAW), has been prioritizing the development of SOPs for coordinated responses to provide quality essential services for women subject to VAW including women migrant workers.
In this context, you are cordially invited to the launch of the βPractical Guide: Standard Operating Procedures for Responding to Violence against Women including Women Migrant Workersβ on 16 December from 9.30 to 10.45 am BKK time.
Highlights from the agenda:
- Launch of the SOPs guide
- Learning from practical experiences of countries in ASEAN
