Secretary-General's message on the Occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Membership of the Kingdom of Thailand in the United Nations

I congratulate the government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand on the 75th anniversary of your country's membership in the United Nations. 

Thailand has achieved remarkable development gains -- including universal health coverage -- and made important contributions to regional peace and security. 

Thailand has also been a steadfast champion of multilateralism and sustainable development. The United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2022-2025 provides an excellent opportunity for further deepening our partnership. 

Bangkok is today a critical hub for the United Nations family. I would like to express particular gratitude to Thailand for generously hosting the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. 

Thank you for your many and sustained contributions to the work of the United Nations in Thailand and the region over the past 75 years. We look forward to strengthening our ties in the years ahead as we pursue peace, security, and prosperity for all.
